Summer is the time to look forward to. Children can’t wait for the much awaited break from school. Our workloads lighten a bit and we bask in the warmth of the season. We can’t wait to be outdoor and dive into the pool or get a tan at the beach. 45% of Americans plan a vacation in the summertime. The change in wardrobe is a breather. The favorite bright shorts are finally out of the closet along with the sundress and shades.
BBQ’s are great for summer like canoeing, swimming and outing with friends and folks. But the best part of Summer is to travel and to fall in love all over again. Aaliyah and me are traveling to the happy planet Costa Rica which is one of the world’s greenest and happiest country.
Happy Planet Index is measured based on the amount of Earth’s resources used by a nation along with how happy and long life their citizens live. According to the measures, United States featured in the 114th slot as per the New Economic Foundation in 2009 while the paradise country located in the Central America, Costa Rica topped the list. Costa Rica which means ‘rich coast’ is bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the west and Caribbean Sea to the east is a haven in summer with it’s abundant flora and fauna. Be it a wellness getaway or a romantic spree it is the perfect place to be.
Walking with the surfboard in hand on the beach of Costa Rica, taking a trip to the Arenal Hanging Bridges, a full day of hiking and zip-lining, absorbing the mesmerizing sound of cicadas, birds, a visit to Tabacon Thermal Springs spending a full day in one of the 16 pools of rain water, surrounded by lush gardens and the gurgling of the streaming water, soaking in the green of the rainforests, blue-tailed hummingbirds, thousands of butterflies, following the dogs, napping in the shade or casually crossing the streets is therapeutic.
July is also the month of freedom and we are looking forward to the upcoming Canada Day and Fourth of July. Just sent warm greetings to my buddies. It’s a great way to strengthen the bond between friends.
I am looking forward to experiencing Pura Vida which means pure life, in it’s true essence with the Costa Ricans who have deep appreciation and respect for life despite the circumstances.
