Pet Puppy Blown Away!

Send Pets EcardsThis one’s really brought across a smile on my face. An eight-month old Chihuahua got blown away in a gust of wind! The owners of little Tinker Bell found her in the woods, hungry but not hurt in a major way. When I told this news to Adrian, he was amused too. He picked Kong to extend his joke!

He asked Kong, who’s a zillion times heavier than Tinker Bell, “Would you like to fly as well, Kong?” I don’t know what Kong understood; he wagged his tail, turned and went off to sleep! “Even Kong has no time for my drivel!” Adrian complained and continued reading. The incident is really bizarre, isn’t it? Have you experienced an incident in your life which left you bewildered and amused at the same time? Let’s find out who has the most unusual story to share with us. The best story may get published on my newsletter! So write in quick…

New Jersey Hit By Flu

Send Everyday EcardsThe alarm that I talked about in a previous post is true. New Jersey officials have identified five swine flu cases. A couple of friends have come up with ways by which we can combat this flu attack. This is what Frankie has to say about fighting flu:

“To boost up the immunity is probably the best thing one can do. Stick to a healthy routine, plenty of vitamin C and exercise and of course, enough sleep. Vaccine may be helpful but we are facing a new flu all the time. I wonder if we could ever catch up with the varieties.”

The Next Big Flu!

Send Everyday Ecards“We’re staring at a flu epidemic!” yelled my niece Rachael over the phone. I could hear my sister tell her, “Stop alarming people like that!” Rachael is always updated on news like these. Scientists, discoveries, their latest publications – these make up Rachael’s daily routine. So it was not strange that she already knew about this flu epidemic before most others.

Scientists have long anticipated the outbreak of a flu epidemic that will result in a huge loss of lives around the globe. As reports of a flu attack pour in, scientists are cautioning people about this flu attack. A public health emergency has been declared. So guys, we need to take care and take cover. Just share your best ideas in the spirit of helping others.

Faith In Obama Goes Up!

Send Inspirational EcardsPolls conducted by Associated Press-Gfk have found out that the popularity of Obama has shot up from 17% to 48%. As he nears 100 days of his presidency, people are believing more in Obama and his recovery plans. These people think that the country is in the ‘right direction’. This is the first time since January 2004 that people are showing more faith in the government. What do you think are the reasons? Do you make up that 48%? What is it that you like about this Obama government? What more do you expect from Obama?

Obama Plans To End Credit Card Traps

Send Inspiration EcardsThis news means a lot to the cash-strapped Kate. She has been complaining about the late fees that she has to pay. “I can’t understand their rate of interest!” is one of her most-repeated comments in the last few months. She had to take a pay cut to hang on to her job. Which means the late fees is cutting really deep into her earnings. With Obama’s declaration that he’s looking to end these days of exorbitant late fees attached to credit cards, Kate is hopeful she’ll be able to get over the trauma of coughing up absurd late fees. Have you ever been in a similar situation like Kate? Do you think credit card companies must be reined in? Have they been making millions in unfair credit card dealings?

Cinco de Mayo Plans!

Send Cinco de Mayo EcardsCinco de Mayo is another regional festival that has blended with popular culture. Rachael told me the other day that people in Arizona have to deal with pesky mosquitoes when they arrange for pool parties and barbeques. The reason: Cinco de Mayo also brings in summer and summer brings in these mosquitoes! Now, would you like to party with these airy devils as your company on the dance floor? Where are you partying this Cinco de Mayo? If you know of any good party happening around New York, let me know. I’d really like to let my hair down and soak in the Mexican flavor!

Fred Worried About Foreclosures

Send Inspiration EcardsFred is getting increasingly worried about foreclosures staring us in the face. He shared how he was concerned about foreclosures that are happening in the metro areas of California, Nevada, Arizona and Florida. One online survey reported Las Vegas as the city that has the highest rate of foreclosures. Fred told me the other night, “It’s really getting tough, Bob.” I have friends who are getting laid off. It’s important that we support our friends in these trying times. What would you like to tell our reader friends who have lost jobs because of foreclosures? Your encouragement could go a long way in helping them to make it rather than break it. Post your thoughts here.

On Quirky Co-workers

Send Business EcardsWe spend a lot of time with our co-workers. Though everyone in your office may not be your friend, they surely make for interesting company. Donna used to work with a colleague whom she called Janus! Janus is the two-faced Roman god. The reason Donna named her was that this colleague put up two different faces inside and outside the boardroom. She did a flip each time she met the boss and left her team members red in the face and coping with uncomfortable questions. But she was also a lot of fun, so no one really hated her. Does that sound familiar to you? Do you have any colleague who’s quirky and whose psyche demands a mention in some psychology course? Your experiences could tickle the funny bone for some, and make these quirky colleagues more endurable for others!
