It was a lovely Sunday morning. Mrs. Bradley, Aaliyah and I were soaking the morning sun of Big Apple and enjoying our breakfast together. Mrs. Bradley was happy to receive the Parents’ Day gift from both her sons.
Adrian was late and looked stressed. “Hey! You are late! What happened?” I asked.
“Oh, forgive me Bob, Aaliyah and Mrs. Bradley! Everything has gone bonkers ever since I have been handling two projects at work. I am not getting proper sleep and lately, my schedule has gone bad due to all this,” He replied.
We served him the sumptuous breakfast. Adrian looked disturbed so I decided to talk to him after we were done. While we were heading upstairs I asked, “What’s wrong?”
“Handling two things isn’t easy. It’s not that I don’t want to but it’s just that the road is bumpy!” He replied.
“Adrian, you can’t blame your projects for this! You willingly took it and now you should have that determined approach or else it will be a stress for you!” I expressed.
“Then what should I do?” He asked.
“Make sure to do it with all your heart or else don’t do it! If you go ahead with it then you should be equally determined to give your best along with keeping a work-life balance and that my friend will come with discipline and time management!” I replied.
“You are right, Bob! I should not blame my work rather I should find a solution!” He replied.
“Yes! But, before anything let’s get you a breather since you have been stressed. Hammock Day is here! It symbolizes the importance of relaxing and rejuvenating. Spend some quality time before you finally decide! So, come! Get up!” I said.
“What? Where are we going?” He asked.
“We are going to Mrs. Bradley’s garden again but this time to spend the Sunday afternoon in the hammock and enjoy ourselves!” I replied. He agreed and we had a wonderful Sunday!
When we sign up for something then we must ensure to do it with all positivity and full commitment! And, when we feel stuck the focus should be on finding the solution and not blaming the situation. This way we can never go wrong! Do it and see! It makes things a lot more easier and happier!
