“I’ve got a little grayer since I took this job, but otherwise, I feel pretty good.”
– President Barack Obama.
That’s what he has said on the eve of his 50th birthday.
Happy Birthday, Mr. President!
He has his country’s military in action in at least three countries, he is steering the country though recession, right now engaged in saving his people from debt default. Well, he is also the father of two teen girls!
It wouldn’t be a surprise if he has a white mop of hair by next year. I don’t know, how to rate him as a president, but he certainly is acting his age – sophisticated, eloquent and composed during crises. Having Michelle Obama, as First Lady definitely helps. She is like a solid rock behind her husband.
Acting the age… Now, isn’t that a problem that we have to address?
There are beauty pageants around the world, where little tiny tots wear bikini, abuse their parents, fight war in video games and drink and dope like spoiled adults.
And then there are the celebrities who fact lift, chop fat, smooth wrinkles and apply 10-inch make-up and celebrate their birthdays once in a decade.
What’s wrong with ageing?
What’s wrong with ageing gracefully?
Remember Audrey Hepburn?
If a man or woman acts his or her age, they are more attractive. Simple truth. Don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise.
There is a reason why some people age gracefully… You know what that is?
Happiness.
Life is made up of beautiful moments and there is always that little junk that it throws at you. Face it bravely, throw it away and move on. If you concentrate on the junk, you will lose sight of another beautiful moment that comes your way.
And what’s life without a little junk, huh?
Age is jus’ a number, it doesn’t determine life. Moments of happiness, does. That’s what life is made up of. And of course, a lot of good friends!
