Okay, here is a question for you:

Who is the person who doesn’t judge you… Ever?
Who is the person who will stand by you… Even if you have committed the worst sin?
Who is the only person in this world who will give you unconditional love?
Who is the only person in this world who gives you all these and you take that person for granted and never find time for that person?

Answer: Mother.

This thought hit me hard the other day and I tried scribbling a few words…

Mother

I knew her before I saw her.
She spent a lifetime nurturing me,
Even before I woke up to the world.

She happily cried when I smiled first…
She shouted in joy when I took my first steps…
She sang when I would listen…
She told me stories when I wanted to sleep…
She gave me a pat when I needed one…
She knew when I was hungry…
She was submissive when I was angry…
She was proud when I spoke…
She never complained…
Neither confronted…

For all the pain I caused…
All she did was… Smile!

I have been to church and the synagogues…
But first of all, I entered her womb…
And if womb is a sanctum then…
My mom is God.

I love you, Mom!
