‘House’ on the Fox channel delivered a shocker. The Internet is flooded with queries if it’s the actor Kal Penn who’s dead or the character played by him, Lawrence Kutner, who’s dead! ‘House’ showed the character of Lawrence Kutner shooting himself in the head, giving rise to the speculation as to why this character had to be bumped off. Irina, who followed this show closely, doesn’t find any logical reason behind the bizarre twist in the tale. “Why the heck did he have to kill himself all of a sudden?” she complained, “it’s just not consistent! Other characters had more reason to turn the barrel on themselves, not Lawrence!”

I’m not sure if she’s fuming because Kal Penn won’t be on the show anymore. She’s a fan of Kal Penn since his ‘Harrold and Kumar’ days. I remember she dragged me to watch ‘The Namesake’, where Kal Penn played a pivotal role. She didn’t spare the producers of ‘House’ either! “They had no idea how to make use of Kal Penn’s potential.
