Thanksgiving is done with and now we are looking at Christmas! It is that time of the year, folks! Fun and frolic with family and friends awaits this season. Are you ready?

Nothing like a hug at the end of a long day, right?
Anyone who has a dog at home should know that. The way Kong runs up to me when I take off my shoes in the evening is a sight to behold.

Not many people know the warmth of love that a pet gives you when you feel down and out. The way they cuddle up to you, not for their comfort, but yours. I always thought that I am the one who gives it what it seeks and I am the one who keeps it comfortable. Now, I have come to realize that Kong knows what my mood is and acts accordingly. He gives me the comfort when I badly need one. He instinctively knows my loneliness… after all he should be feeling it all day himself.

He is a friend who communicates his love to me better than anyone else. Jus’ that he doesn’t talk, but barks a smile.

Santa came early this time.
Slimmest Santa ever. Not a hint of paunch. Tell you what? Even when girls wear a costume of a Santa they make sure they don’t sport a paunch!

Aaliyah too didn’t!

She came over on St. Nicholas Day dressed as Santa and gave me what I richly deserve… A warm hug and a lot of goodies. I wouldn’t say what they were though 🙂

Good day spent in a good way.

It is one of those days… I mean, a day you forget the most important thing. You can be forgiven if you arrive late for your own wedding, but you will never be forgiven if you forget the birthday of your friend… And especially if the friend is Megan.

I had to do what I had to do. I almost went down my knees to pacify her. It didn’t work. Hell hath no fury than a woman who had her friend forgot her birthday.

I bought her flowers and even that good leather handbag. Wouldn’t work.

And then Aaliyah gave me a tip. “Buy her slippers!”

I thought that the idea was ridiculous, but when I did buy her a pair of footwear… Megan forgave me instantly and accepted my birthday wishes.
What’s with girls and their footwear?

I thought I figured them out, but I think girls will always be a puzzle to me.

I woke up to a text message in the morning and it was from Steve.

The message read, “Bob, I have a feeling that today is going to be a great day for you! Good luck!”
For precisely that reason, the day was great. He infused positivity in me, the very first thing in the morning and my day was a great one.
