It is high time we started talking to ourselves. The reason I say this is because we don’t take much time to spend with others including family, friends and well wishers. Instead, we are in touch with our alternate world with the above people through our mobile phones or as they now call it smart phones. We don’t look out the window of a moving vehicle anymore lest the window opened on the laptop closes.
We are living in a virtual world. We have long departed from reality. We even play our games on the computer and not in the real world.
The new generation of kids play with their play stations, while the grounds dedicated to play ball are used only by athletes.

Yes, when you want to give your sympathy and condolences to someone you go and write ‘RIP’ on a social network page.
There is no empathy to be seen as we are busy browsing for the next big headline or breaking news of the day.
There is no time to gather, understand and digest the big story of the day before moving on to the next. It is a fast world and you have to move super fast. This is what we think and this is what we do.
We don’t enjoy our coffee. We have our coffee with an eye on the phone reading texts. The joy of enjoying a cup of coffee is lost.
We are surrendering our happiness to technology. Maybe, it is time we talked to ourselves about the importance of talking to others in the real world and smell the real flowers.
