After eight years of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his rhetoric, finally we hear a diplomatic voice coming from Iran.

Mr. Hassan Rouhani, the current, social media embracing, President has been making the right noises since he came to power. He has spoken about his exchange of letters with President Barrack Obama and conversations with French President François Hollande.

Unlike his predecessor, he recognizes the horror of holocaust and had wished Jews a happy new year. He is reaching out to everyone and and of course wants the sanctions lifted. United States of America has been listening and the interactions are slowly building up to something significant.

If this path is pursued and they arrive at a common platform soon, it will be historic! This friendship can lead to peaceful solutions on a multitude of issues around the globe and the Middle East in particular.

Syria is still simmering, but the flames are not being fanned as they were before. Countries that matter are showing restraint and it is business as usual in the good world.

Pope too has been giving interviews talking about poverty and asking people to be charitable and recognize the suffering of the poor. He has also refrained from saying anything discriminatory against the gays and that has come as a big relief to the concerned community.

All in all, peace is reigning everywhere for a change and it is beautiful to see people of different views choosing diplomatic means to resolve conflicts and misunderstandings.

Giving peace a change is a logical measure and I am sure these acts will lead the world to a stable space.

Rationalists all over the world are smiling while the common man is at peace.

This is a world we can be content with.
