Life is about taking chances they say. The only thing that is constant in life is change goes the adage, but again there is love.
Devil is in the details. Occupy Wall Street had thousands of protestors and almost all of them were angry. Except for the little kid who was perched on her father’s shoulders. She was waving the American flag and giggling. She was on a vacation.
Made me smile.
A heart without demands, without good or bad reasoning, without prejudice or hypocrisy is a child’s heart.
We were all born a child. I wish we never grew up.
Life was so simple then. All we needed was a cookie!
Tea party agitations, protests for umpteen reasons bring the aged and lonely, family and friends onto the streets and there is always a kid dressed up cute and staring in wonder at the crowds…
Rachel was on the couch next to me. It was her birthday. I and my folks were talking politics when Rachel asked me a few questions as was her routine…
“Uncle Bob, why are they angry?”
“Uncle, why are they using bad words in the signs they carry?”
“Uncle, is Uncle Mike who works in the bank a bad person?”
I couldn’t answer even one of them. I sometimes wonder if God makes his presence felt in the form of children.
Rachel shrieked when Clint Eastwood shot a bad guy. She said, “Uncle, I think he needs water…!”
For them it is all black or white and no gray in between.
Society says if you behave like a kid, you are immature. Your decisions will be faulty and life will be hell.
I wonder how it would be if everyone behaves like a kid… Full of happiness and without malice…
There are people and they are like Tom Hanks in Forrest Gump.
They are happy people. And society calls them mentally challenged.
I wonder who is sane and who is insane now?
