Almost done. He is on his way out. One more dictator bites the dust.
People power triumphs.
“Whenever I despair, I remember that the way of truth and love has always won. There may be tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they may seem invincible, but in the end, they always fail. Think of it: always.” – Mahatma Gandhi.
Isn’t that true?
There are wars around the world and there are people, who spring a surprise through Arab spring trouncing dictators. Exciting times. Everything is happening so fast that we are not able to comprehend what’s exactly happened. When the dust settles down, maybe in a decade or more… We can pick up a few lessons or two in violence and nonviolence.
I often wonder why in our greeting cards we do not have any negative emotion nor violence. I always see have a great day and happy birthday cards all around. I have come to the conclusion that people love to hear positivity, see positivity and feel positivity. Wars or violence are thrust upon people, they don’t go looking for it.
No normal human being desires a confrontation. Everyone wants peace.
Violence happens when you are inebriated either with alcohol or with power!
When one is in an advantage of power, the real measure of that man is, when he doesn’t use that power for a bad deed.
Many a great leaders have had a massive following, but they never used it to push their followers towards the path of destruction and that is the precise reason why they are called great leaders.
And there are a few, who are drunk on power and chart a path of recklessness and become insecure to the point of isolation. They lose touch with grassroots where they come from. And they become different beings. Indifferent beings to their own people.
They forget love and crave for more power.
When enough is enough, common man speaks up. Always remember, nobody in the world is more powerful than a common man, who can’t take it anymore!
