Editor Bob’s Friend: Mrs. Bradley

Editor Bob's friend, Mrs. Bradley.

Mrs. Bradley grew up in NY. Her husband, Jim, died in 2001. He was a WWII veteran. She’s into gardening, so I need to keep an eye on Kong. Every once in a while Kong gets loose and digs up her garden. She says she doesn’t mind much the dog playing around, but the clean up takes a lot of work. I try to help by keeping Kong out of her roses.

Her son, Mike, lives in London with his wife and new baby boy. He works in the financial sector and gets to come home regularly. Good thing he visits his mum when he’s in New York.

Photography is Mrs. Bradley’s passion. She was a professional photographer until she had Mike, and took an “early retirement” to raise him. She is very active around the neighborhood, and can typically be found organizing block parties and BBQs in the garden, too, like for Fourth of July. Kids hang out on her stoop a lot.

How I Met Mrs. Bradley

Mrs. Bradley is my next door neighbor. She made me freshly-baked chocolate chip cookies the day I moved in. She’s been my “mom-away-from-home” ever since.
