Editor Bob’s Friend: Donna

Editor Bob's friend, Donna.

“Save the World” Donna is my colleague. Divorced, Donna has two kids, Ethan and Emily, whom she calls her biggest accomplishments. Originally from the Boston area, Donna was raised in a politically active family that has always found time for charity, non-profit work, etc. She says it’s even more of a focus now because she wants a better world for her children.

Donna is the person I go to when I can’t understand the issues behind world headlines. Somehow, she’s in touch with everything around her and still manages to raise two kids on her own!

I love hanging out with Donna because I never know where I’ll end up that evening. It can be a poetry slam down in the Village or an opening of an exhibit at the Met. She always knows where “the place to be” for the night is. Donna also keeps really interesting company. Since she’s such a cool person to hang around with, a lot of artists, writers, and musicians flock to her in droves. I think that’s the best part about Donna, she can hang out with high society and still be in touch with super cool creative types. You can hear her Boston accent when she gets excited or when she’s had a couple of gin and tonics.

How I Met Donna

Donna was one of the first people that interviewed me. In fact, she was the one that suggested I apply for the job as editor! She works in the HR Department of 123Greetings. I met Donna at one of her “Bohemian gatherings”. I really have to thank Kate for taking me there in the first place.
