Mother’s Day is right around the corner on Sunday, and, as a person who truly admires my mom, I believe that Mother’s Day is the most important holiday of the year!

My mother has made sacrifices for me my entire life and I believe she deserves all of the love and praise in the world. After all, she did shape me into the person I have become, right? Without my mom, I wouldn’t have the same passions and human experiences as I do now.
Growing up, I was taught to give my mom gifts and cards for Mother’s Day. But now, looking back as an adult, I see just how important it is to honor my mom.
With our busy schedules, we don’t always get a chance to say, “I love you mom” every day, and we can’t always be there to make mom happy. This is why it is so important to celebrate Mother’s Day. It is a day to not only send Mother’s Day cards, but to tell our moms—and all of the moms out there—just how much we truly appreciate everything they do.
The modern Mother’s Day celebrated today, dates back to the early 1900s when Anna Jarvis organized a day for friends and family to honor the sacrifices mothers make everyday. After a long campaign to add Mother’s Day to the official calendar, Woodrow Wilson signed a document in 1908 designating the second Sunday in May as Mother’s Day.
And Mother’s Day couldn’t fall at a better time of the year.
May flowers are in full bloom, and there is no greater way to say thank you than sending warm wishes with May flowers and a Happy Mother’s Day card.
Whether you will be sending love from afar or spending Mother’s Day with your mom, I hope its full of love and praise! And to all the mothers out there, Happy Mother’s Day!
