Is the War On?
Middle East is in a boil and Obama is finding himself alienated from the world community, which is preaching restraint against striking Syria.
Obama who came to power criticizing war on Iraq and Afghanistan is staring at a possibility of going into Syria with his troops in tow.

This wasn’t the plan though, but Syria is definitely pushing it. No one knows what is happening there except for the fact that there are lives being lost by hundreds and thousands. The war is taking a toll on everyone and the refugees are fleeing in huge numbers to the neighboring countries.
Of course, given the volatile situation and the anti-American sentiments terrorists are also in the fray and no one knows for sure who is fighting whom and who is good and who is bad.
And then, there is the talk about chemical weapons being used. That somehow alarms the entire world and presses the West into action.
It is difficult to comprehend why chemical weapons warrant such a reaction, while conventional weapons that killed didn’t bring in such urgency. Maybe it is the sight of entire families being wiped out that is riling people up.
Everyone agrees that these weapons were used, but who used it is the question.
America and allies say it was Syrian government while the Syrian government blames it on the rebels.
And who exactly are the rebels anyway?
That is a question no one is ready to answer. They are being supplied weapons by the West, is a known fact, while Syrian government is getting their arms from Russians and Chinese.
Loyalties are shifting day-by-day and it is tough to decipher who is on whose side.
All said Pope has appealed for peace and so have a lot many prominent thinkers and world leaders.
A common man’s plea is the same: Give friendship a chance, let there be peace!
