Watching or reading news every morning has become a sad chore. You cannot read-through a daily newspaper without finding a story of bloodshed somewhere in the world. It is tougher to read news online as it is accompanied withgory pictures of death and devastation.
Family traditions and values have gone for a toss and children can be found walking into schools with guns or killing strangers on the streets. It is a tough test now for families in America. Have we leaned too far liberal to have forgotten our values and have we deemed morals and common sense to be archaic?

I can never forgive a parent whose child has wandered into unpleasant things. It is the first and foremost duty of a parent to devise the moral compass of a child until he can judge for himself the difference between right and wrong.
That said, the Cleveland man who had kept three girls captive for a decade or so has allegedly committed suicide in his cell while incarcerated.
Do we rejoice or do we play it down? Or like a few others feel bad that he didn’t complete his sentence rotting in jail forever?
There are no clear answers to that but one.
Those three girls would know if what he received was enough or less.
We can’t play armchair critics or pretend to be victims here. It is not for us to judge him, or anyone else for that matter.
Well, Syria is in the news for weeks now and currentlythe aggressive postures have taken a pause and the cooler heads are at work. Let us hope that there is a happy ending to this story.
