You have a problem. You can’t tell anyone. The problem is so complex and will certainly make you look embarrassing if you were to share it with anyone. Even to a family member, it would make you look bad. Even to a colleague or a well wisher. Even to yourself if you really think about it. Who should you go to in such a scenario?
Your best friend, of course!

That is the power of a best friend. You can always count on him or her to be there for you even if the problem is complex, bad, sad or downright ugly. Your friend wouldn’t judge you, but help you. Don’t mistake the part about reprimanding you. Yes, even though they will stand by you, they will also make sure that you know what you have gotten yourself into and will analyze the problem including your doing.
They will then point out to you what you had done and why things have come to such a pass. You would be talked to, admonished and all that, but that is for a moment to make you understand the weight of your actions, that’s about it.
And then they solidly stand by you.
Not everyone can be a best friend though and not everyone has best friends. The reason is that it is a relationship based on mutual trust and complete confidence. This confidant becomes a best friend only through time and complete honesty. You can’t make a best friend by just taking, but there is also another aspect to it: giving.
Once you do that, you have gotten a friend for life.
Such friends are to be treasured and celebrated too. To celebrate them there is a day dedicated and that is the Best Friends Day.
Go ahead and wish them well on their day!
