I wouldn’t visit you every day now, would I? I will meet you a couple of times a week… Not everyday. You know why?
What’s the fun?
There needs to be scorching sun to appreciate the shade.
You need to be thirsty for a while to appreciate ice cold water.
You need to feel a bit of pinch in the pocket to value money.
You need a Great Depression to appreciate a sound economy.
You need to face shortage to despise excess.
You need to feel the pain, to know the pleasure.
You need to fight so that the makeup is sweet in love.
There has to be a negative to make the positive look bright.
Is it really necessary, you ask?
It is. We have learnt that through electing the number of Presidents that we have and by buying products that we have.
The experiences in the past decade that we Americans had to face were extraordinary, a bunch of wars and a very weak economy.
Smiles had gone home and misery paid a visit.
Things are looking up now, finally and introspection is providing answers. Maybe we did waste a lot of food! Maybe we did take our employment for granted. Maybe we didn’t think much about saving and maybe we didn’t think twice before getting into debt with eyes open.
Now, we know better.
You know why?
Because we have been stung. And we know how it pains.
Sometimes a sound sleep needs to be awaken with a fresh ice cold bucket of water.
We have to be awoken thus.
Let us not sleep, but dream from now on.
Let’s be ready to face a little bit of this and a little bit of that!
What do you say?
