Life is a circle. It has rough edges, but it all comes together at the end. A lot many people have seen this happen to their own knowledge umpteen number of times.
Even clothes have gone retro. We had a crew cut and then long hair – a throwback to barbarians. We had flowing gown and then miniskirts – an attire of the first generation women albeit in animal skin. And then there is fur and leather… The connection is not very subtle, is it now?
Culture.
Free speech, freedom to express and right to be what you are was the first rule of our ancestors centuries ago. We restricted, segregated, divided and then now we want the same thing back!
Would you believe it now if I say we have come a full circle?
Americans too. We were bright once. We are bright now. We were confident once. We are a bit circumspect now.
The difference is in the confidence.
Then, there was no fear of failure.
Today, there is. The government took care of the unemployed and the unemployed were negligible in number.
Then, the veterans were taken care of. They fought in peace. Today, they still are taken care of, but more in number and there is a decline in the process.
There were smiles.
We used to take care of our own better then.
We are not doing it right these days.
Maybe, we should get it right. Maybe we should bring love back.
All that we have lost is jus’ an illusion. They are all there. Nothing goes anywhere. They all come back.
Life is a full circle.
We are in motion.
