Turkey:
Earthquake has claimed a lot of lives in Turkey. This is one fury of nature that man is not able to master. Our thoughts go with the people affected and we pray for their well being at this point in time.
Tunisia:
It all started in Tunisia. Oppressed people came on the streets without much of a plan. And they changed the world, one country after another.
Libya:
Libya announced that it was liberated. So did Egypt a while ago. Syria is facing the heat already.
The world as we know is changing. Earlier World Wars used to change the world. These days, not leaders but the common man and woman are changing the world.
Bob’s World:
I read all these news and see how it affects my life. I find little to no effect in my day-to- day life because of all these happenings. I don’t know anyone from any of these countries, but yes, I do feel good when people feel liberated, when a tyrant dies and feel real sad when an earthquake strikes.
I remember the outpouring of sympathy from all over the world including the countries, that we don’t have great relations with when 9/11 happened.
Humanity is a basic trait that every human being possesses. No two ways about it. Situations, circumstances, ego, paranoia, misunderstandings and worst of all ignorance lead to useless and harmful rhetoric and sometimes act of aggression.
Man had two needs when he came into this world:
Procreation and survival.
He procreated through love and survived through defense. And somewhere down the line, he started using offense for both.
Then the world went in to chaos.
