With David Paterson, the Governor of New York City, introducing a bill to legalize same sex marriages in New York City, his work has increased manifold. This has strained his relationship with Irina. He can’t make out quality time with her anymore. She’s been unsuccessfully trying to get to meet him, but on most weekends he brings work home and keeps the phone off the hook.

Irina thought of visiting his pad, but Megan advised her not to. “If he doesn’t want to talk to anyone on the phone, do you think he’ll be happy if you turned up?” she reasoned.
