Avoiding Your Ex!
After I wrote about going back to your ex, I read a comment which gave me the idea of writing about avoiding your ex! Yes, it’s as logical as going back to your ex, only this time you are not chasing, you are running away. Avoiding your ex can be as tricky, if not more. But if you are really interested in giving that person the slip, just follow these really simple steps.
First, get away from all the social networking profiles and online networks where she can track you down. It may be difficult for you to get off the grid, but laying low for some months if you really want to avoid someone is worth the effort. You can change your contact numbers and email addresses. Make sure you don’t have any loose thread that can lead your ex to hunt you down. If your ex is not the one who’ll stalk you, you can save yourself this effort, though.
Tap common friends to find out the whereabouts of your ex. They can tell you more about their present schedules and you can conveniently avoid turning up at the same party or get-together. You wouldn’t like to find yourself in the same club or disc, when your ex is the last person you want to see on your fun night out. Rack your brains and chalk out the schedule your ex used to follow. You must be knowing where that person is likely to be at what time. Stay away from those places at those times. Go on a holiday if you really want a break from all of these. If the break up has been messy, this will also help you calm your nerves and reflect on what you want to do next.
These steps are just pointers to help you come with ideas of your own. You know your ex better than most and you are the best person to know what to do. And if you are going into a tunnel to lay low, do it with dignity. I would strictly advise against any sort of threats or stuff like that. You should never forget that you were in love with this person at a point of time, however bitter the relationship may have become at a later date. Do you want to add to this list? Write to me.

Thoughts on International Women’s Day - II
After Donna’s post, today we have another of my closest friends, Megan. She’s been with me through thick and thin and anyone who has been reading my newsletters know her very well. She’s the most sensible of all my friends and our ‘voice of reason’. Over to her…
Hi,
Don’t believe Bob when he says I’m some ‘voice of reason’ and all! I liked his idea of having these guests’ posts written by the women he knows. For me, International Women’s Day is for all women out there who dare to dream. I can understand what led the UN to decide on the theme this International Women’s Day: elimination of violence against women and girls. I can’t believe that even today, a successful woman like Rihanna is being beaten up in an inhuman way!
I don’t want to sound like a feminist or something. I just want to speak up for women who are denied the right to a better life or livelihood. I read of women being discouraged from pursuing their dreams. I know of women who have been compelled to take up careers they never wanted. I also know of women who defied all conventions and fought their way up the ladder, taking the pat and flak with equal maturity. International Women’s Day for all of those women who fought and won, and also for women who are still inching towards that victory line.
I wish all of you a great International Women’s Day! Bob insists that I leave a message for you guys. Well, my message would be, never give up on your dreams. It’s always worth the while to keep wanting to do something you have always wanted to do.
Take lots of care,
Megan.
Bob here. I have nothing more to add to that really. I think she summed it all very beautifully. You know, I never thought she’d do such a great job. What do you have to say to this? Chime in.

Curious About America’s Next Top Model Cycle 13?
After having teased Adrian to the brink of murder, Irina has shifted her focus something more close to her heart. Arianna Afsar, the American Idol contestant who found, I think, the only die-hard supporter in Adrian, got out of the race. Adrian had been voicing his strong support for her, knowing fully well that she sang well enough to be one of the contestants who was sure to exit the American Idol stage. He had a verbal duel with Irina, as I wrote last day. Irina got back to him, clear and strong after Arianna was out. She told him, “You hear with your eyes, Adrian!” That was funny, what say?
The taunts and jeers would have continued if not Tyra Banks suddenly announced that America’s Next Top Model Cycle 13 models have to be 5 feet 7 inches or under to make it to the show. Irina is super excited about the prospects of wannabe models who thought that their height could be a hindrance to their career. She told me, “Bob, if only I can take part in the show! I’m 5 feet 6!” Tyra Banks also mentioned that this well help “shorter models” to come to the forefront. I couldn’t really say much other than join in Irina’s enthusiasm. I never understood much about modeling and there’s no reason how I’ll know all about it all of a sudden.
What I’m happy about is that perceptions are changing to accommodate more possibilities. I always want more people to have a shot at success. It also opens up new vistas and this influx of fresh talent always helps to broaden the horizons. Do you support my views?
